The purpose of the California Chapter of the Alexander Graham Bell Association is to support the mission of the National Association by advocating independence through listening and talking. Our membership consists of parents and families of children who are deaf or hard-of-hearing, professionals in the field of hearing health care and deaf education, as well as oral deaf adults who are dedicated to keeping the oral option alive in California. We hold annual conferences, network and lobby to promote the oral option. This triad of membership allows for lifetime camaraderie and support for persons with hearing loss.
